Happy Birthday, Oreo!

Thursday, March 8, 2012
Hello there, guys! I'm back, and I'm done with the first week of midterm exams, whoopee! :D

Today, I would like to take special time to congratulate milk's, and mine, favorite cookies... OREO! Here's a little history of OREO:
This month marks the 100th birthday of the Nabisco Oreo chocolate sandwich cookie, which was introduced on March 6, 1912. The first ones were made in a factory in Chelsea, New York that is now the site of the Chelsea Market. Since that time, an estimated 491 billion have been sold, making them the best-selling cookie in America.

We must all be familiar with the tradition, "Diputar, dijilat, dicelupin!" of Oreo as we grow up.

It's a joy, really, to enjoy a pack of OREO, or mix it with my other favorite treats such as vanilla ice cream, vanilla milkshake, vanilla pudding, pancakes.... YUM-YUM!

To celebrate its centennial, Nabisco is launching an international limited-edition birthday version with colorful sprinkles in the crème filling, embossed with a special birthday design.

Awwww, cute right??? I wish they sold some in Indonesia.. Too bad I can't taste these limited edition OREO cookies ):

So... I just wanna say thank you, Inventor of OREO, for making one of the most fabulous cookies in this whole world. And OREO, thanks for being the soulmate of cream, and thus, a soulmate of mine: cookies&cream. (x

Now, who's in for some OREO pie??? I know I'm in! (x

Hello Again, Young Wizards & Witches!

Monday, February 20, 2012
Hello again, fellows! :D
Wooow. Long time no see, no? I've been missing for like two weeks and more! Bad blogger! :p Well, in my defense, I have very good and valid reasons as to why I've been missing. Yes! I was in Singapore and Jakarta! :p So... sorry everyone, my bad!

I promised you that I'll post something about my birthday and my singapore trip. AND I WILL. However I am still waiting for all the pictures. So in the meantime, let me share a lil about my obsession this morning... (not only this morning actually, but it is randomly multiplied this morning! :p)

HARRY POTTER, AND THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER! :D

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a Harry-Potter-themed amusement park, which is also a part of the Islands of Adventures area of Orlando Universal Studio. Currently, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter consists of three main rides which are: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, which exists within a re-creation of Hogwarts; Dragon Challenge, which is a pair of inverted roller-coasters; and Flight of the Hippogriff, which is a family roller coaster.
It also has a re-creation of Hogsmeade which includes a model of Hogwarts Express, Dervish and Banges, Honey Dukes, Ollivanders, Zonko's, The Three Broomsticks, and the Hog's Head.

Okay! Enough talkin! Let's see for ourselves! Let the magic.... begin. (:

Did you know that I literally had tears welling up in my eyes when I first arrived at Universal Studios Singapore, and a few times inside it? It's because I was so overwhelmed that I finally had my feet on it. I wonder what'd happen if I arrive here..

cute fluffy Hedwig!

And... the casts were also there as well! Hermione, erm, I mean, Emma, looks gorgeous, doesn't she?? (x

Ooh, she's got her wand! Can't wait to get mine! :D

Hhas yeaah. So that is it.. I really wish I could go there sometime in the future :D It would be like magic come true.. Or maybe, if Universal Studios Singapore decides to also open the site as well... AAAAAAA I'LL FIND A WAY TO COME BACK THERE!

Nox!

Bear With Me

Saturday, January 21, 2012
I am pretty obsessed with old musicals. And tonight, due to some free time I have, I spend every minute I can in front of Youtube, playing my faves one by one :p So... bear with me when I share some of em tonite with you! For those who share this fondness of mine, enjoy! :D

1950s' Annie Get Your Gun - starring Betty Hutton and Howard Keel

1978's Grease - starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John
Can't help movin' everytime I hear this song! :p

1982's Annie - starring Aileen Quinn and Albert Finney

Pretty entertaining, right? They really make my day (x They get you all lighten up, cheered up... happy. :D There's just something about them. They're heart-warming. They're everlasting.

On An Evening In Roma

Ahhh.. how I love Dean Martin and this song. This is one of the songs that both my Dad and I love. Listening to this song... wooshh! And I'm suddenly strolling down on my Vespa in Rome. HAHA I wish. Well, someday I will. Someday I will.

Ahh how I love and am obsessed about oldies Italian love songs, just as much as I love oldies French jazz and blues and bossa nova. They all take me straight away to France and Italy! :D Do you feel that way too?

Creepy Chan

Friday, January 20, 2012
A few weeks ago my soul sister, Amanda, 'introduced' me to a uniquely quirky beautiful girl, Allison Harvard. She's the runner up of America's Next Top Model season 12 and runner up of America's Next Top Model season 17 All Stars. hhas And she is gorgeous!
She is beauty quirk with huge eyes that sometimes make her look like a cute bunny. In the internet, she is known as Creepy Chan meme. hhas She even has a rather weird obsession: blood. She found nosebleed and the color of blood beautiful! :p
I found her relatable because of the things she said about herself. She said herself that she was 'shy, but also likes to be social'. She even has a great public speaking skill! She also said that she tended to overthink and overanalyze herself. Sometimes that can be the thing that holds her back. So very true! I find these things about her very relatable. I find those traits in me as well. Well, except her fondness of blood. hhas

Meet the beauty yourself!

And here is a music video of her - it was one of the challenges she took part of in the ANTM All Stars, she also co-wrote the song:

The story behind Allison’s song! :
Brother, sister, mother, father sleeping, standing underwater.
( I have a brother, a sister, a mother, and a father — My dad passed away from cancer a little over a year ago and it felt like we were all in a very sad dream. )

Sinking, swimming, floating, dreaming forward moving, backward thinking.
(sickness, fighting, hospital care, death — he went into remission, and then another biopsy came back and it had metastasized.)

Brother
Sister
Mother
Father
1 2 3 4 underwater. 1 2 3 4 underwater.
(1.2.3.4 — the amount of family members I have. Underwater — it felt like we were all experiencing this together and it was a very helpless situation/as if one was drowning.)

Beautiful, right? *sigh* (:
Hope you have a beautiful day, as beautiful as this quirky girl is!

The last picture is used as background for my twitter profile here. :D Ooh, and by the way, very cute mop on the second picture! :p

Tuesday, January 17, 2012
Hello there, everyone! :D How are you all doing on this very fine morning? Great, I hope! :p I just finished my morning class, and before my next class, I'd like to share a quick post of my ideal/dream house. One sneak peak into what my ideal/dream house comes straight from the It's Complicated movie, starring Meryl Streep. It's such a beaaauutiful house. And it would be PERFECT if I can have one just like that in the future (x it's such a great place for a family. It's called as Spanish ranch-house inspired. Well, see for yourself! It's gorgeous.

Vintage Wedding Dress

Monday, December 12, 2011
PS. Do listen, it goes with the mood of the post! (;

Angus & Julia Stone - The Wedding Song

I am pretty much obsessed with vintage wedding dresses, especially the lace gowns kind. I particularly think that they will be PERFECT for wedding service at church. It goes with the sacred feeling you get from church, the... I don't know how to describe it. Just... that feeling you get when you attend a wedding service in a church, especially in a big old cathedral. I don't expect a big ceremony at church. Just a small one, with my family and closest friends. So, I don't think I would need a dress so grand like what I would more likely wear in the wedding reception.
These two following dresses are the ones that I love the most from my collection so far. And up till now, the chance is very big that I would wear something like these two to my wedding service. (': I like the second one better than the first; I like the fact that it would highlight my most favorite parts of my body: my shoulders and collar bones.

They're all gorgeous, aren't they?? :D

I am indeed a nineteen-going-on-twenty year old girl with lifelong passion and love for all things wedding, true love and happily ever after.
