Coming Home

Saturday, July 7, 2012
I just can't believe it's been a year already (':

I raise my glass and my hat, for all of us who have stuck with Harry until the very end. On this very day one year ago, we shed tears together. Today, the most loyal of us still do. July 7th, 2011 might be the end of a generation to some people. But not us. Because for us, the magic lives on. And I sure will pass on this story to my future kids. And even when that day comes...

Hello Again, Young Wizards & Witches!

Monday, February 20, 2012
Hello again, fellows! :D
Wooow. Long time no see, no? I've been missing for like two weeks and more! Bad blogger! :p Well, in my defense, I have very good and valid reasons as to why I've been missing. Yes! I was in Singapore and Jakarta! :p So... sorry everyone, my bad!

I promised you that I'll post something about my birthday and my singapore trip. AND I WILL. However I am still waiting for all the pictures. So in the meantime, let me share a lil about my obsession this morning... (not only this morning actually, but it is randomly multiplied this morning! :p)

HARRY POTTER, AND THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER! :D

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a Harry-Potter-themed amusement park, which is also a part of the Islands of Adventures area of Orlando Universal Studio. Currently, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter consists of three main rides which are: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, which exists within a re-creation of Hogwarts; Dragon Challenge, which is a pair of inverted roller-coasters; and Flight of the Hippogriff, which is a family roller coaster.
It also has a re-creation of Hogsmeade which includes a model of Hogwarts Express, Dervish and Banges, Honey Dukes, Ollivanders, Zonko's, The Three Broomsticks, and the Hog's Head.

Okay! Enough talkin! Let's see for ourselves! Let the magic.... begin. (:

Did you know that I literally had tears welling up in my eyes when I first arrived at Universal Studios Singapore, and a few times inside it? It's because I was so overwhelmed that I finally had my feet on it. I wonder what'd happen if I arrive here..

cute fluffy Hedwig!

And... the casts were also there as well! Hermione, erm, I mean, Emma, looks gorgeous, doesn't she?? (x

Ooh, she's got her wand! Can't wait to get mine! :D

Hhas yeaah. So that is it.. I really wish I could go there sometime in the future :D It would be like magic come true.. Or maybe, if Universal Studios Singapore decides to also open the site as well... AAAAAAA I'LL FIND A WAY TO COME BACK THERE!

Nox!

Ravenclaw and English Oak

Friday, December 23, 2011
Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure.

Thanks to my soul sister, Amanda, I was finally able to get back in Pottermore a few days ago! Yaaay! :D Yeah, though had been one of the lucky few that were accepted early into the Pottermore world, due to my lame internet connection, I could not access the site and/or exploit the full use of it. I was stuck on the Gringotts page for, like, ever. But thanks to Amanda, her computer, and her awesome internet connection, I could get back inside and finish ALL Book 1 in a few hours. Hoorraaaaay! :D

In Pottermore, we would all get questions to determine which wand we will procure and what house we are sorted into. The questions were unexpected! hhas they can be very random like asking you 'which one do you choose (from a coin), head or tail?'. JENG JENGGG! hhas The result came out kind of surprisingly, especially for the sorting ceremony! hhas Amanda and I even literally jumped on our chair out of shock when it came out (because there was no telling that 'the result will now be presented', or some kind like that)! It just came out, no warning! :p

Aaaaand.. Here are some results of my journey:

English Oak with Phoenix Feather Core, Eleven Inches, Slightly Springy

Yep, that's right, baby! I am in Ravenclaw woohooo! :D I am really glad to get a phoenix core wand AND be placed in Ravenclaw. I do feel it in my heart that I belong somewhere between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. And though I was not sorted into Gryffindor as many might have longed, I am still happy and proud to be sorted out as Ravenclaw! Woohooo!
Amanda's respond was like, 'Wow hebat banget kamu dapet phoenix core!', and (this one I quoted from her twitter), 'Woohooo my best budy @marshaimaniara was sorted into ravenclaw~ the sorting hat can detect the smart ones x)'
Hhas I am just sooo thrilled. Too bad Amanda had disabled her Pottermore account (all for the sake of her A level exams - so Hermione! :p). Otherwise we could have explored this Pottermore world together..
We had so much fun exploring it: collecting (pocket-picking! :p) Galleons, books and ingredients for potion, brewing potions, practising spells and dueling people. We were even banned from the dueling application for a while because we were 'abusing' it too much! hhas Anyway, with me back to my own laptop and lame internet connection, I won't be able to get inside Pottermore for a while.
However, I vent my feelings by re-reading the Harry Potter books. I have this bursting proud and happy feelings everytime I come across Flitwick or other Ravenclaws. I think it has started to grow in me: sense of belonging to Ravenclaw! :p I am so overwhelmed reading Harry Potter. I finished re-reading the seventh book just this afternoon. I got so much teary. It really hit me that I have grown up, and how coincidentally perfect timing it is that the Harry Potter series (movies) ended at the same year of my last year of ages '1-something'.

I am indeed a Harry Potter generation, and PROUD of it. (':

Name in the Offing

Friday, October 14, 2011
It was a sticky moment: Harry knew that she had sensed Ron's name in the offing.
-Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows

When someone tells you a story, which is an interesting story for her/him, but also in which relating to someone (for example, that particular person is the one who told her/him this story in the first place) that you don't like or have problem with, sometimes they would just 'omit' that person's name from their story. It is not rarely that we, when we hear that story from her/him, can feel something is missing. And when we want to clarify it, for example, we ask, 'Who told you this?' The conversation becomes awkward and the one who is telling you just turn their eyes away from yours, as they mumble the answer 'Just a friend of mine', or worse, just ONE unanswering word at all, 'Friend.'. And from there after, she/he would just ignore our further questions if it is anywhere related to the topic. Hmm. Yep, it is definitely just like what's been said in Harry Potter, "It was a sticky moment: Harry knew that she had sensed Ron's name in the offing."

Hhas and then you wonder. What is the reason behind the offing? Is it to respect you, to avoid you from being in a bad mood because she/he mentions the 'forbidden name'? But then you think, "No one forbade anything, I certainly did not." And you wonder again... Is it because she/he doesn't want you to know that they still contact and have talks with the 'particular person whose name is in the offing'? Because if it is the matter, it just gets you even more upset. Because if she/he had just mentioned the 'particular person's name' casually, it would not have been a matter at all! But since she/he decided to make off this particular person's name, you just can't help keeping wondering then: What happened? What is in there that I can not know? What is your exact reason for doing that? Why don't you just mention that particular person's name? Do you really think that I am so selfish or weak that I just can't take it being mentioned? What? Why? What if...

Hhas have you ever experienced such things? It sucks, right? And no matter how much you try not to care, you still do. (or is it just me?) Hhas

So anyone, if you're planning on telling someone a story, that is interesting for you but containing someone that the one you're telling has problem with, you'd better just mention his/her name casually. When a name is in the offing? It's not cool. AND WE ALWAYS KNOW IT. It is a sticky moment, you don't wanna get stuck in it. (;

So, adios, amigos! I'm outta here.
Talk to you later!

A candy for your eyes:
